Sad to say but its already getting chilly to smoke outside in the evening.
A few days ago it was still awesome. Now its colder and Windows is more annoying.

Might have to do with the northern situation here north of the border...

But I will miss the nice warm smoking evenings.
Units next year I guess.

It's been a pretty mild summer in MD compared to the last couple years. Looking forward to my favorite season though, hunting season. Love the fall. Although its still summer when deer season starts here.

Best time of year to smoke outside. Dips down to 10-15C at night here in ND. Nice with a light jacket. What part of Canada do you freeze your ass off in?

I am in Québec, in the windy St-Laurent valleys. Its not really the température that is the issue, really, we can easily endure twenty bellow. .. but the wind has the double négatives of freezing the hands and inducing burn problems to the sticks.

Plus as I said, it is the sad réalisation that we're already heading to snow tires and shuveling the driveway.

While I love the summer, winter is my favorite time of year, sit in the back yard smoke a gar next to a fire, ice in my scotch doesn't melt (as fast) and I don't sweat as much... I hate sweating.

I guess you rarely have three feets of snow over your firepit ? ;)

I rarely smoke in winter due to weather. But this is anout to change as I fully plan on converting part of my garage into a cigar lounge this year. That should be awesome.

I don't mind sweatshirt weather for smoking. Here in WI it gets damn cold in the winter, but there are some great jackets out there and other neat toys to keep you warm. I love the zippo hand warmers. Get a couple of those, and you'll be nice and toasty for hours.

I've seen publicity last year about those. How do they work?
They promoteur them as flameless, but being zippo I'd think they use lighter fluide??

I hope you guys know not to put snow tires on until it has been under 40 consecutively and there are no signs of upward spikes in temperature lol. I remember as a newb to the snow tire thing I put mine on a little early and took a lot of life off of them driving them on 55-60 degree days lol

We have a set date by law to put snow tires... mid novembre. they get damaged every year. We learn to live with it. :(

They do use zippo lighter fluid, but the flame is internal. It can get very hot, but when you place it in the pouch it can be held in your hand, no problem and it helps spread the heat across the entire device. I love them. They will burn for 6 hours no problem. They take about 12 uses to break in though, so don't get frustrated first few times you use it. There are lots of reviews on youtube that show how to use it properly and how it looks when lit. It just glows orange when lit. No visible flame.

I had mine on for 3 years straight with no problems. :) Handling was so good (or I got lazy) I did not wish to change them.
