Hello fellow BOTL

Formerly from the great state of Georgia, now just a bit north of the 49th for family and work.

I am also a refugee from the other site, went by the nick of ejgarnut there. Looking forward to get to know some of the folks here, and looking forward to be able to have a place to bs & have some fun.

I like beer...and cigars of course.

I can only hope the rest of my posts are as insightful and interesting as this one...

Thank you all for the kind welcomes!

Welcome from Arizona! I'm a big craft beer fan myself, I brew quite a bit. Nothing quite like a frosty barley pop with a good cigar.
I should have been more precise in my greeting, and stated that i like good beer. Because of government running the liquor stores in Sask, craft beer is very limited in selection and quantity. I really miss the selection (and prices) of great beers that are available in the US.

I know a lot of people in Canada who homebrew for that very reason. Once you get past initial equipment costs, you can make your own for well under $1/bottle.

Welcome from Chicagoland - I went the other way: started in Manitoba and ended up in Chicago

Welcome from North Dakota. I have had many a fun nights at the Curling Rink in Kipling, just wish I could remember them.
I too went south from Canada, but I'm a proud Saskie thru and thru.

I dont know whether to congratulate you you, or give my condolences lol...

I havent spent much time in MB, but I am very familiar with the football rivalry. I have spent a good bit of time driving around Chicago, unfortunately it was in an 18 wheeler, so Im not familiar with any of the nice places there.

One of my best buddies lives there. I am originally from Stoughton so we spent some time up there growing up. Great town with great people. Very tight knit community.

Well it just got smaller lol...I work in Stoughton driving a tanker for one of the trucking companies there. Bunch of really nice people working there. Youre right about Kipling, weve been here only a couple months, and it does feel like "home" for us.
