The MSRP was supposed to be 250 according to the DE article and I saw them for 250 on some other websites so if it is your thing shop around. Seem like they are trying to make a little extra on these

Yeah just not digging the style that much but the price does make them a bit more unattractive as well. As said at a price point of $150 I would maybe give one a shot. Will have to see how they do after being out for a little while.

Too much coin but I'll be honest I would like to check one out and see how it smokes, though I doubt it would be better than the age old classic briar

It will probably smoke nice and dry. It's basically a Falcon. Pick one of those up on Ebay and they will do just as well.

I'll wait for the fleabay I smoked it once pipe
Haven't found any reviews that suggest the metal portion gets too hot. In my limited experience, though, that's usually not the area of concern. But there is a smooth metal blowfish that has metal on the two outer sides of the bowl. Can't imagine that's a good setup for a lit bowl

FWIW i have held one in my hands and they are PRETTY. like, truly solid engineering.

... and also waaaay to rich for my blood, true. but they did a LOT of things right (maybe too much, in all honesty), like every feature is amazingly well thought out. which is what i would expect from a tsuge/DE collaboration.

Different for sure, I think the screw on top is an interesting addition.
Not sure I would be one however, I am interested in the line of tobacco though.

Too rich for my blood too, though I dig the style. If I was going to spend that kind of money on a pipe, it would be a one of a kind, hand made, comissioned piece of art. And then I would be too scared to smoke it and mess it up. LOL

When they first announced them I thought they were pretty cool....then I saw the price. Yea, shit on that! Like others have said, there are a lot of pipes out there that look just as nice and cost way less.
