If you think about it... cigars are full of flavor, oils, and moisture. AS you smoke and the cigar gets smaller all of these goodies including the nicotine begin to accumulate in what is left of the cigar. Some is washed away as smoke but a lot of it accumulates. As you keep smoking yu work through that accumulation and viola, the spins. The black stuff is a mixture of resins, tobacco juice, and tar. DO a small second cut. All gone. I like to purge which helps but if you get a bitter taste, just remove it.

The artificial sweetener doesn't work, but anything with corn syrup actually works faster than sugar.
Okay, then I am patenting/trademarking "The Coma Inducer" - mix equal parts spiced rum and Karo corn syrup and serve over ice in a sugar-rimmed glass.

Should pair well with any 7×70

Let's be honest. Nothing pairs with a 7x70.

I beg to differ....this mouth could handle an 8 X 80RG and still have enough room to talk.

I suppose it may have been implied in some of the answers but what about the simple fact that the last 1/3 of the stick can contain a lot more moisture from saliva (at least my cigars do, as I am a "wet"
smoker); wouldn't that tend to make the cigar smoke differently. More bitter, for sure, but maybe it changes other qualities as well.
Don't know... just wondering....?
