not sure, as i have been exploring estates, but altinok is a major, and meerqueen does decent (meerschaummarket.com, IIRC? posted it on pipe dealies...).

Ugh. Stop talking about meers or I'll realize I have to have a 10th pipe.
you ONLY have ten pipes?!? o)

'11 Stonehaven in my Nørding.
That's a purdy Nord!
I agree. More info on the pipe please!
I posted about it when I got it I think, but it's a Nørding Lovat Grade 13 estate that I picked up in September. It's proved difficult to photograph as my phone refuses to display all the detail in one pic, so here are a few that show various details. Crazy grain, great Cumberland, and a solid smoker to boot.

And some Zance in a rock cob this afternoon. So good. Just bought a red rock cob with bamboo shank. Can't wait to get it in my grubby hands... Ha.

9 briars. 3 cobs, 3 mini cobs. I just picked up the pipe in February or so. I'd say my purchasing has been fast paced, to say the least.

Tom Eltang English in a cob. Received a free sample of this. Very light English and very enjoyable. Would be a great all-day smoke. I really like it- three bowls in now.

Baki, Ural, Altinok, WGM, and MeerQueen are the best meers that I've seen and have direct feedback from others. F. Baki being the best made in my opinion. Go to http://bestmeerschaums.homestead.com/bakipipes.html for Baki meers- they sell fast and are only imported a few times a year. The Baki meers are only sold on that one site through his importer. I'm pleased with mine and I've never heard any different from anyone else that has own either. The screw-in tenons on cheaper meers are a problem area. If you get a good quality meer make sure it's a push tenon. My next meet will be a lee van cleef Altinok. I recently bought an estate Peterson African System meer too. Can't wait to clean it up and smoke it.

Dismal pretty much summed it up, but I would add Ozgur to the mix solely on what I've seen from others who own one. He makes some really awesome Meers and his pricing is reasonable for the quality. If you search Ozgur Pipes on eBay you will see his stuff. I was recently introduced through a pipe forum I'm on, but when I'm ready for another I'll likely go with him. I'd love a Baki, but for a purchase like that I'll need to either start stashing money away from the wife or need a special occasion... Ha ha ha
