No love for Nicko? For shame
I like Alex, but isn't he the Bonham of the late 70s/80s? An imitator rather than an originator...
YesAnd has anyone said "Mike Portnoy"?
You call that a battle? Krupa lays an egg right on TVLets not forget the REAL old school... Gene Krupa and Buddy Rich

Yup, Keith Moon. I'm a Dead Head, so Hart is in there. Billy K too. Plus sessions drummer, Matt chamberlain. And an obscure one is Joan Armatrading's drummer from the 70's Dave Mattacks. Ringo Starr developed into quite the drummer as well. It took time...but yeah, he's worthy. So I checked back in today with the names that came to me- most were mentioned. Beauford (sp), chamberlain was the MAN for the pumpkins, and tony Williams.
I can't believe no one has mentioned keith moon. Not really a who fan but I have to give credit where it's due.
Mickey hart.
Dave Grohl? Please, he's not even the best drummer in Foo Fighters! Was watching 60 minutes and they had Dave Grohl on. During the interview they said he is one of the best drummers in music. I know the drummer is sometime an unknown (I only know Travis Barker and Lars) I know we got drummers here so who are some of the best??
