This cigar has become a bit of a white whale for me. Not that they're terribly hard to find (there are 5ers, 3-packs, etc. out there, as well as 8-ct boxes). But at upwards of $30, I am hesitant to pull the trigger.

So my question, fellow high-end Padron lovers, is: is it that much better than a P64? Is it worth the squeeze? And is there anywhere online that ever posts below MSRP on them (silly question probably)?

TY in advance.

I like it, but there is such a big jump in price from the 64 to the 80th that most don't feel it's worth the extra coin. As far as below MSRP, it would be tough to find an authorized Padron dealer that would sell below MSRP as Padron really frowns upon it.

honestly, i was just talking about this yesterday.

The 80th natty is my favorite Padron ive had. I favor the 1926 series of 1964 for what its worth and have had the 40 year, 45 year, a bunch of different 1926 and 1964s, and have a bunch of others on deck(44, 46, 50).

I wish i had an extra one of these to send you(or for your UPS thief!!!;))

Its pricey, but if your are looking to pull a trigger for a good time, you aren't making a bad decision. Its a great celebratory size IMO and burned great.

Enjoy:)

I snatch up any 80th maduro I can find when I see them for sale privately. Between the 45th and the 80th they are the best Padron maduro you will smoke IF you can get them for ~$20. I will go out there and also say IMO they are one of the best Nicaraguan smokes out there if you remove yourself from the cost of them.

I personally don't think it's worth the difference, but I do think a 40 year maddie is worth ever penny

At one time the 80th was the only other cigar aside form the Monte #2 (CC) that I would or could smoke to a nub. Its still a fav but they are pricey. I hate to admit it but I have paid upwards of $80 a stick because they were also a white whale for me for a while.

Id say try one. Check your PM.

Like any other super premium, there's a diminishing return, IMHO. I was gifted one a while back and while it was absolutely spectacular, I won't be buying another one unless I can find one below $20.

One of my Favorite Padrons. I do have an issue coughing up $30 a stick but if you pay attention they do pop up where you can them them for $20 a stick if you are willing to buy the box.
Only padrons in this class are the #9s and 45th anny.

I like the 64s also but find I just like the 26 series more. Have a box of darn near everything they make except the x000 series.

I was able to get maduro singles recently from a non sponsor for $22. I can't remember if it is allowed or not to share the source on her so PM me if you want it.

Also, when did they start cello wrapping these? I've seen the recent boxes had the cigars wrapped in cellophane which I've never seen in the high end Padrons before.

The first shipment we received at out shop with cello was probably about 8 weeks ago.
