BOTL Pipe Newbie Sampler Thread

Thanks so much for the great sampler... some premium stuff in here. Deadman's Point dug deep into the stash and sent me some Bohemian Scandal... what?! That is definitely something I'll need to work up to.

I already sampled the Early Morning Pipe. I think one of the two Esoterica blends might be next up.

Got my Newbie sampler from UtahRootBeer last night and I am still hurting from that hit! Just opening the box smelled AMAZING, I can already tell this is one slipper slope I'll be rapidly sliding down.

I PMed him earlier in the week to confirm he was still up for the trade. He responded he was and should have something out this week, but no update since then. I'm in no rush (other than wanting to qualify for Secret Santa), so I'll give it some more time.

So quick curious question....how log should a cob pipe last? I managed two and a half bowls in my sampler pipe over the past week before the Bottom plug fell out. Is this normal/to be expected with cobs or did I do something to facilitate its untimely demise? Should I just go pick up a Grabow?

Just a bad cob I suspect I have several that are 3-4 yrs old
