Alright everyone, I just received my marching orders from my editor that our next issue is going to be sake based.

What are some of your favorite sakes and why? I have a couple go-to's, but would love some feedback from my brothers here to help expand my horizons on this front.

But seriously, since its for a cigar pairing, a cold sake is what I'm leaning towards.

My buddy down in the holler makes one mean Socky. Aptly named, as the stuff really packs a punch. He's suppose to be dropping off some Apple Pie Socky in a bit. Hopefully it will pair nicely with the sweet spice of a Four Kicks.

Maybeeee...I'm waiting to find out if I'm going to Paso Robles Saturday for a soccer tournament. If my cousins team doesn't make the finals, then I'll be there.

It's really very good. Sweet fruit flavors. Should pair well with a cigar. Any Nigori would probably be a good pair honestly.

So, resurrecting this thread to let everyone know what I picked: Murai Family Nigori Genshu Sake. It's amazeballs, and I highly recommend it.

I really like Sake. Is it a hard to find brand or would it be sold in most quality liquor stores? Con you post a pic?
