this is one of the reasons I am so thankful for my job... (when not traveling, I work remotely.. and can pretty much go outside on the patio and fire one up whenever I like.. assuming the weather supports it..)..
I don't have a weather problem. I just can never get passed the glare on my screen... cartography is hard when you can't see shit.

Ive got a big patio umbrella that helps with that a bit...

Have seriously thought about adding an an actual roof and converting some of the back patio into a screened in porch though.. would be a little cooler in the summer (shade).. and cut down on the glare..

The front porch has a nice roof/overhang though and is pretty much shady all day after about 10AM... when the glare is especially bad on the back patio.. I just transition to the front :)

I've got a roof on four legs... but its no help when the sun angle is low.
