i am doing a back and forth with an owner of a wine cooler on CL. It's a Danby from what I've seen online it says 64.4* for the high temp setting. Would that be to low for cigars? It also has beechwood shelves already installed. Is beechwood good wood for a wineador?

64.4 isn't too crazy. If the cooler is that great a deal you can always add an ETC. Easy to wire and you can get an ST-1000 style for under 20 bucks.

doesn't the lower temp just "slow down" the aging process. my new air goes up to 66*, but hygros inside all read 65*.. doesnt seem like a major problem, but i would opt for the newair if i were you UTvols

i may look into an etc as well, but then again i have a habit of screwing up any DIY projects so may be better leaving this alone :dunno:

I've been comparing pictures of the new air wine cooler that's on CL. It appears that it is the 28 bottle instead of a 16 bottle. If I have done my cubic ft conversion properly that's 6.4 cubic feet. I don't have many boxes to put in it but around 150-175 cigars in two different desk top humidors. I've seen that I need to fill it up as much as possible for it to operate properly. Do the drawers that I will have to order count as filling up the wineador. I know I can get boxes from my local b&m shop. Does anyone have any recommendations were to order drawers and shelving from?

when i tell her i bought more sticks/need more storage

i probably have 200+ sticks plus a couple boxes aging, coolidor would be for more box storage

but check out the wineador 101 thread in this sections and that'll help a lot more too.. and for the size just get kitty litter, so easy to manage and balance.. plus insanely cheaper

good luck!
