Ok so winter is HERE! Last year sucked in the garage lounge with air flow. Every half hour I'm opening the big door to let out smoke and my heat goes out too. My budget is limited, but what do you guys recommend for this area? Sometimes there 3/5 people smoking and hanging out. Annnd go!

Ps don't mind the mess, i got several projects going at once lol

your single biggest problem that I can see is you have WAY too much cloth in there.. those couches/chairs and that carpet is going to suck in, and hold on to smoke/stink... consider some leather/pleather/faux-leather/whatever furniture.. and ditch that carpet...

Also consider sealing the walls if you havent already done that..

With all of those absorbent materials.. youre going to need a much more substantial venting system..

get rid of some of that stuff.. and you can probably do with a little bit less of a vent system..

One small thing that may help - get a 20" box fan from Amazon (Lasko has one for around $30) and then get a 20"×20" HEPA furnace filter (Filtrete has one at Lowe's for $20) and attach it to the exhaust side of the fan. Put it near your ashtray(s). Not perfect but it should reduce the smoke by a significant portion.

Not a bad DIY solution to *help* (not eliminate) smoke for $50. Once amonth or so, depending on your frequency of use, just get a new $20 filter

Never would've thought of that. Have you tried it?

Not yet - my garage is basically a storage unit so I won't be smoking in there yet (this Winter). But, as I look at those "smokeless ashtrays", that's all they really are. The physics of it are sound but I've not actually tried it out... yet

Put in a bath fan and exhaust the air. Period. Also getting rid of cloth will help.I have a 500 dollar rabbitt air hepa air cleaner as back up to my 1500 cfm exhaust system. I'm still washing floors and walls regularly to keep the smell out. (Granted the smell is next to zero in a room that's had over 1k cigars smoked in it.)
Once you have a medium sized bath fan installed directly over the smoking area. (150 cfm or higher IMO) Crack the garage door a inch. There is your fresh air intake. Keep your heaters on and they should keep up with the cold air coming in.

I have a thread on here somewhere where I showed it working. It actually helps a lot as long as you buy good enough filters. I went with a filter that is just good enough for smoke but not super sensitive to help airflow. I have a YouTube video I made and will post it or just come over sometime and help you. It's pretty cool and costs about $40 with the box fan.
