Cheap Hand Rolled Cigars Opinions?

The other day I stopped into the Cuban Crafters in Dayton Beach, FL. and ended up smoking 6 cigars and was there for 8 hours. Great people but the thing that stuck out to me was that he rolls his own cigars. He was mentored by Don Kiki and has been rolling since. The cigar was $5 for 1, $4 at 20 and $3 at 25.

I tried 3 of his had rolled cigars and there were freaking good! They changed flavor and never got boring. Has anyone every had this experience and where did you get them? I am now on a spree to try more.

Generally speaking, any premium cigar is going to be hand-rolled. All of the big names use hand rollers, and the ones that are not hand-rolled are generally labeled "machine made."

Looking over some of your previous posts, all of the cigars you mention are hand-rolled.

Are you perhaps looking at trying some "custom" rolls? IE, cigars that are not blended in a factory for mass production? There are a number of custom rolls out there, and they're all different. Most are not necessarily any better than regular production cigars, but there is something fun and unique about them. Given that you're in Daytona Beach, FL, you probably have better access to domestic custom rolls than just about anyone.

True. I was mainly trying to see if anyone has had any in house, non-branded cigars without a label and what there experiences were.

I've only tried Johnny-O and Carlos Fernandez custom rolls. The former were pretty darn good, and the latter were excellent.

I wish I lived in Daytona. I live in Orlando and yes a custom rolled cigar would be what I would like to try more of. I only know of Cuban Crafters.

It was a very nice day. They had free cuban coffee too. I know Ol Times. I will stop by there this weekend and try his cigars and the other suggestions too. Thanks for helping me out brothers. This means alot to me.

One last thing. A guy gave me a cigar one time that he bought from a guy on HWY 50 towards Clermont. He was on the side of the road rolling these things and was not apart of a store. If anyone knows what I am talking about, I would love to know where this guy is. this cigar was a good 7 inches and at least 70 gauge in the middle. It was very flavorful too.

I know jr has some good stuff but you should look more for brands than shops. the kentucky fire cured or undercrown by drew estate are amazing smokes for the money

Never had the fore cured. I do like the undercrown but those are twice as much as the custom rolled.

the fire cured i believe are like 5 or 6 they are very good but have a very unique taste
