I bought a bunch of the Cap'n Black during the CVS clearance. Didn't think it was bad, but got bored with it. Very plain.
Will probably get blended in to other baccy...

Figured I had to, just out of principal. I mean, it was pennies on the dollar... I'll probably try to add a layer to a homemade kake once I find time to finally put a press together.
bought some too but then got better stuff. never thought of blending it....... may have to try that

I bought a couple ounces of Carter Hall in bulk from 4noggins but haven't smoked any of it yet.
I tried carter hall. I recommend it to n00bs ro learn pipe smoking so I try to smoke it myself ya know but its just too bland for me. I can smoke cigar leaf or semois and it burns similarly and I enjoy it.
This thread was just a trap like dismal said. Im in the tobacco of the month club at pipesandcigars.com and every month they send something like cap black, sail, swr etc. Ill never smoke it and hate to just leave it sit around so I wanted to gift it to someone that may actually enjoy it. Dale actually named a pouch I have so he wins. Hahahaha
To each his own, I say if you enjoy it awesome I just haven't gotten a lot of pleasure from the otc's but will have a bowl of ch occasionally, just have so many other blends I'd rather try/smoke
I smoke a lot of OTC. Captain Black (White and Dark mostly) I also smoke and enjoy, Prince Albert. I haven't had Carter Hall in forever so I will find some again and start buying to have in my rotation. Right now I have 5 Tubs of PA one opened. Also smoke some other OTC by Lane LTD and STG aromatics that I like to smoke from time to time. Most days I smoke 2 or 3 bowls of nice TIN tobaccos and the other 7 or 8 bowls are filled with OTC.

Farming. so yeah it is easier for me to smoke a lot. When I worked for others I was a 2 bowl a day and 4 cigars if I was lucky. But now I smoke more Pipes and less Cigars 1 a day if I feel the need but most times this last year has been 4 or 5 a week. First thing in the AM most times while I work over some pipes drinking coffee after the AM chores.
