Question for the pipers

I tried carter hall. I recommend it to n00bs ro learn pipe smoking so I try to smoke it myself ya know but its just too bland for me. I can smoke cigar leaf or semois and it burns similarly and I enjoy it.

This thread was just a trap like dismal said. Im in the tobacco of the month club at pipesandcigars.com and every month they send something like cap black, sail, swr etc. Ill never smoke it and hate to just leave it sit around so I wanted to gift it to someone that may actually enjoy it. Dale actually named a pouch I have so he wins. Hahahaha

I was in the first 5-6 months and finally gave up. Seemed it was always whatever special they were selling cheap that month anyway, and then some heavy aromatics, and one tin every month or so of something mainstream/popular that I was actually interested in. And the cobs were shit.
Have you felt you benefit from it?
Seems to me they never tried to hard to introduce me to something new, no hidden gems, just passing of whatever the high volume sellers were for them at the same (or sometimes higher) price than you just ordering yourself watching for sales...

I'm still in it. Altho some months I wonder why. I'm not big into russ' monthly blend, they are all aros. The last couple months the smell of them are hideous. I do usually get one tin I want to try. The last few months has had a tin I was going to buy anyway. Worth it? Idk. It's 20 bucks. It cost me over 5 bucks shipping for a regular order so 15 bucks for 2 tins very month plus russ' monthly aro and a otc isn't too bad. Yes the pipe is crap. They all go into a box for my cobfoolery project pipes if I ever get around to doing one.

I like that. If you ever get around to doing anything with them you could call them cobfoolery pipes.

Sometime starting the day with the first cup of coffee and a corn cob pipe filled with Carter Hall is nearly perfect.
