Does anyone have a recommendation on a company that makes good quality custom cigar bands. I need some made for a gift for a friend's wedding.

Nearly impossible to get small batches of custom cigar bands printed. All the cost is in the set-up and die costs...

For example, a small batch of say 5,000 units at a "friends and family" price will cost about $600-$800 dollars and that is utilizing stock dies.

Assuming this is beyond what you anticipated, you might want to look at using:

http://www.onlinelabels.com/cigars/cigar-labels.htm

You can self print these sheets.

Granted a pain in the ass, and no they will not be the same quality as a custom printed ring, but if done well can serve the need.

Not sure about using normal white glue stick on cigars.
I find that corn syrup make for an easy, cheap and edible cigar band glue. There are surely other FDA approved glues out there, but the stick in that video seems awefully unedible to me.
