Thanks for the welcome. Montreal is quite a city. Are there really good b&ms there? The best one I have near me is in syracuse, a little over an hour's trip north.

Finding good NCs up north in Canada is a quest on its own. There are CCs, sure, but the canadian tobacco import taxes make everything terribly pricey.

That being said, most b&m don't allowed smoking due to laws.
The ones that does allowed it ARE good. They aren't that many but if you're in montreal try one of these:

La Cas a Del Habanos Montréal
Stoogies cigar bar
Whiskey café

RE: taxes That is just insane. I'm sorry to hear about the imminent loss of those b&ms if grandfatheredaw is the only exception. I think the tiny exception in ny allows newly established smoke shops to allow smoking on premises as long as they don't sell alcohol as well but am not sure of even that.
