So, I just got in a Newair CC-300 after wrestling with a cheap hum for a while,, and I have say, I'm impressed and given the cost of other forms of storage this is a nice choice. I'll post some pics and my thoughts on it:

This cigar cooler arrived double boxed very well protected from any dings or scratches. Right of the box there a few differences that really stand out:
1) Looks, its ascetically pleasing and modern, just like a wine cooler would, but better.
2) The Cedar shelving have a great aroma and its ready right out of the box to go to work, no seasoning necessary.
3) The temperature can go higher than a normal wine fridge, 74 degrees F. Which in some cases is more advantageous to cigars
4) Its sealed up without the drip pan, so no need to make modifications. Makes humidification swings nil.
5) If its plugged in the fan runs,, keeps air moving around. Important to note the fan doesn't blast or even blow air very hard,, its a subtle movement of air, not like A/C unit or even near a compressor style fridge unit. Perfect for keeping the humidity circulating but not drying out the stogies.

Those are the major game changers from purchasing a wine cooler and then converting it. All that is already done, no need to play with electronics, drill holes or fill them in. Perfect seal with cedar shelves and plenty of room for the humidification of your choice. I would highly recommend this as a cigar storage solution. Simple, effective, efficient and economical.

30 bottle capacity? looks great bro!
Thanks, I think it s a 28 bottle capacity,, touted as 400 cigar capacity.

Yeah I posted the review on amazon since i did purchase it through amazon and there weren't any reviews yet. I have a to assume this is a fairly new offering from the company based on the amount of people who were modding the fridge to work for them. I plan and putting together a real short youtube of it in the next few days. Right now I have about 2lbs of HCM beads in it, letting them do their thing as they equal out the RH.

A couple things I had read about wineadors that i didn't mention were the smell of plastic many people reported. It did not exist. It could be they took the time to wipe the insides down when they put the shelves in. Which I hear have been made by one of the craftsmen from the forums for them (rumor). So the CC-300 was very fragrant of cedar when it arrived which was a nice touch to not have to wait a few days after cleaning it to get rid of a smell. Seems like the company took some time to understand the customer and tackle all the things that were being modded.

whats a setup like that set you back?
I paid 449 for it. And after pricing some other humis to replace my cheap which was a leaky and hard to maintain discount humidor, the cost was low compared to the frustration and money spent trying to find the right sequence of humidification, or type of, to make the cheap hold correctly. Since seasoning isn't really an issue, leaking is a non issue, display is great, accessibility a plus and to boot i don't have anything i need to modify or really do besides enjoy it.

I am a tinkerer at heart, but I live in a condo and don't have a lot of space to devote to fixing things and having a bunch of tools, so modding up a garage sale find is just more than I have the capacity to goof off with. After I took this pictures I used the top of the CC-300 to make into a military display of my tours and patches, medals and stuff,, seems kind a fitting.

This is killin me man. I bought a Daniel marshall humidor for the same price as that cc300 and have been wishing I just went w the cc300. The humi is in my bedroom which is hot and dry. Perfect conditions for cigars ya know.

Excellent choice. Throw some risers under that thing to level it with that great modern cabinet you've got there.

Air n Water has it for 359.20 if you use the coupon code BUYNOW. I may pull the trigger on it after seeing it. Never knew it existed!
