I know that I already introduced myself, but I also was busy ranting about a certain other cigar forum disappearing, so here's to new beginnings. After reading the very informative Pre-Study Package I wanted to start fresh and tell you a little about myself.
My name is Matt and I am from Middletown, New Jersey (Jersey Shore-near Sandy Hook). I started smoking cigars back in 2003 after trying, I kid you not, a Garcia Vega on a summer trip to Wildwood, NJ. It was in fact the 2nd worst cigar I've ever (should be no surprise considering it came from CVS) The worst was a poorly aged Illusione, but that was probably user error.
I am a co-founder of a little startup business called Brews Brother's Café. We're also a Specialty Coffee Roaster. My best friend of 15 years is the other founder. We spent the last 4 years planning, researching, and building this very business and we're insanely proud of it.
I am a certified adrenaline junkie. I love Freeride Mountain Biking, XC MTB, River Kayak-Camping. I'm also a Ice Hockey Goaltender. In fact myself and friend/business partner are training to hike the full Appalachian Trail in the near future (14 states, 2,200 miles, Maine-Georgia)
I also am training to be in the United States Coast Guard Reserves.
My favorite cigars are Padrons (when I can afford them) and H. Upmann / San Cristobal (when I can't). I am a Sun Grown and Lancero nutjob as well. Glad to have found BOTL!!!! Looking forward to being part of the family.
