Hi! I like cigars!
I like big cigars, little cigars, and all cigars in between. Due to time constraints, I find myself smoking more corona's here lately than I ever have - but I still like em all.
Like you, I have smoked really bad cigars, and I have smoked really good cigars. Lately, I have been buying "higher end cigars" as my disposable income has increased a bit... even though at one time I might have been quoted as saying that buying anything over $10.00 is for guys who have no imagination.
So that's to say I can admit when I am wrong because brother - I was wrong! Some "expensive" cigars are expensive because they are worth it!
Generally speaking, just as I enjoy all vitolas, I try to enjoy a variety of brands. But truth be told, in the 5 or whatever years I have been smoking regularly, I have really gravitated toward Drew Estates. They seem to do Dirt the way I like Dirt done. That said - I have never had one of their infused smokes. I don't know if I am missing anything or not... I just can't bring myself to it. Of course, the cherry I tasted in the last CORE I smoked, is why I can't be loyal to just one brand. Before that CORE, I have never experienced that - and it was good!!
Lets see - what else?
Besides smoking cigars, I enjoy a round of golf on weekends weather permitting. I have a young family consisting of two children and a wife. The kids consist of a girl and a boy. They are 5 and 4 respectively.
I have traveled extensively according to many - hardly at all by some. I live in Kansas, but I am not a "local." I no longer really care where I live as long as the people around me are worthwhile (which helps when you are in KS - Joking!!).
Which is a good segway to why I am here. I sometimes take long breaks from smoking cigars - read winter hibernation - but I am always up for a conversation about cigars, and I really enjoy reading about others experiences with them. But I am really lacking cigar conversations in "the real world" as, well, not many of my friends smoke cigars. So a cigar forum seems like a natural fit to validate this addiction I have lol.
I don't know what I can offer other than my honesty and experience. I will do my best and look forward to the banter. Did I tell you that I like cigars?
