For my first bowl I went with carter hall, and it was super tasty haha. Think I needed to pack it tighter though....
Packing a bowl takes some practice but, what I found, is not to stress out about it too much. Worst case scenario is that you need to tamp it down a bit and relight it. And that ain't bad at all.

Welcome to the piping world!

C'mon, tell us what you really think. Don't hold back. LOL
So here's the few that I think are worth a shot though I smoke them few and far between

Vermont meat candy mixed with brown rope
C&d autumn evening with the same
Maple twist not really an aro
Molte dolce
Holiday spirit
And boswells blends seem to be pretty good aromatics in general

And this isn't a bomb Dave with these blends but if somebody wanted to try something that had a nicer room note, and was a better Aromamtic that is what I would recc, though a lot of lighter or red vas have a naturally pleasant room note such as dans blend or red cake

I have a jar stuffed with aromatics that I don't know ill ever get to, most times they disappoint but there is so many others I really enjoy I hate to waste my limited time on a blend that has a high probability of me disliking it and toasting my tongue for 2-3 days

I'm always ISO an aromatic lover that may enjoy them

I'm replying in the same "this isn't a bomb Rob comment" kinda way. What do you think of that Meat Candy? I've been intrigued by it because, you know... BACON!

And I am totally with you on the Molte Dolce and Holiday Spirit.

I love Plum Pudding. I like the way it is packed, easy to rub out and easy to pack and smoke. If I could find it local or afford to smoke more of it, It would be my goto smoke....

I like it, what I have is probably 2yrs old but smokes well it's more of a maple I don't think there is any latakia

Though I made a homemade blend but think it's hard to have latakia in an aromatic
