Hi everyone -
This is my first post here but I've been lurking for awhile. I began smoking cigars in 1996, and did so fairly regularly for about 4-5 years and then it tapered off as I got married, had kids, etc. this past year I've rekindled the passion and have since filled two tupperdors as I expand my palate with different styles.
Anyway, I revisited my old B&M for some cigars the other day and as I was making my selection, the guy at the counter offered me a Romeo y Julieta figurado that he said hadn't been produced since before 1994. Apparently they stumbled on a box of them in their humidor and decided to sell them for the same price (about $9.60). I held it in my hand and it appeared to be old - I only say that because it may have had a slight plume to it (I understand that's not indicative of age per se) but it just didn't seem like a newer cigar. I'm not as familiar with RyJs but in all my research I could not find is one among their current lines. In fact, the band is reminiscent of what it looked like back when I first started smoking. I bought it and it's currently resting in my tupperdor until I can actually get outside and smoke.
Anyone have any info on it? It's about 6" and I'd say 48-50 ring at its max width. The foot is closed and the head is almost like a chisel. Here is a pic (I took it out of the cello).
