Was looking for the upper parts to build it, but complete upper cost me less than parts and it was a good build. Love this round,
Yep, but those probably need to be drilled. Lol. AND most companies won't ship to tge Peoples Republic of CaliforniaI think someone recently posted up a link to $39 stripped lowers. At that price it's hard not to just throw three or four of those in the back of the gun safe just as future purchase insurance!
Is it common for lowers to need drilling? I thought that was just the "80% lowers" with no serial numbers...Yep, but those probably need to be drilled. Lol. AND most companies won't ship to tge Peoples Republic of California
If you're smart, yes.Question...I am Brand spanking new to ARs and have not really done any research. I know that by being the pieces and putting one together, I get a fully custom gun but am I save that much over buying a ready assembled weapon?
Thanks Alex...I'll start researching about what I might need/want...It would be a hunting weapon by the way.If you're smart, yes.
Lots of people go the build route because you get Your Rifle, Your Way at minimum. If it matches something offered off the shelf, you can usually save ~200 bucks building it on your own.
But a lot of people build dumb rifles in dumb manners and end up throwing away a lot of money.
No problem. There's plenty of places to ask for build help. Thanks Alex...I'll start researching about what I might need/want...It would be a hunting weapon by the way.
I was thinking about a cheap bolt action riffle but the AR is simply cool.
And I can get it at about half price...and faster as well. Crap...times like these are when I wish a had a lot of money, the decisions would be a lot easier. No problem. There's plenty of places to ask for build help.
FWIW, a bolt gun makes a better hunting rifle in the vast majority of cases.
