I've had that happen!! Paired a Partagas Benji Homage paired with a nice glass of Woodford Reserve bourbon! It was heaven on earth and IMHO paired perfectly! Of course with such a limited edition cigar I had to savor it for the hour or so I was enjoying it. I smoked that bad boy until my fingers were burnt!

and every Crowned Heads I have smoked! Had a Mason Dixon Southern tonight and although not my FAVORITE CH cigar I still nubed it! They truly just kill it!

Good thread and pic. Looking back, I've enjoyed approximately a 2:1 ratio of of amazing "nubbers" to absolute dog rockets. Not a bad run!

I feel you man...I've got a VSG in my humi just waiting for its chance. High tomorrow: -3. They should just start using the Kelvin scale...

Yep....too many cigars in my career and what I couldn't 'nub' I'd put in a pipe and enjoy the rest. Lately over the years I have found a beverage that enhances the taste of my cigars and tend to hold the finish even longer to enjoy. The "finish" is something we call..... "The time which flavor lasts on the palate after the draw and expulsion of smoke." There are beverages that coat the tongue and inside the mouth that tend to keep the smoke from becoming too harsh and thus keeps the act of taking in the smoke where it flourishes and makes it more pleasurable. Usually something that has byproducts of chocolate in the drink...example: Amarula, Frangelica and Baileys aid in this experience. Coffee with added byproducts work the same but not as dramatic as Amarula does for me. I tend to take in just a small amount of this drink...swish it around and then take some more puffs with a dramatic taste difference.

Worth it.
