This is the view towards Lake Ontario as we speak.. Not the best place to live, for a guy who hates cold/snow.. But man is it beautiful in the summer. I hadn't had a cigar since November, and couldn't take it any longer and made the 50 minute drive to to Buffalo to a bar that allows smoking. Had an amazing Rocky Patel Decade and a couple of brews. Look forward to going back ASAP.
(sorry about the picture size, if there is a way to make it smaller, I would love to learn, thanks)
If you're closer to Rochester, check out Havana House and Havana Moe's. They both allow smoking, and Moe's has a bar!

@Benjamin, I think I asked you, in another post, if you had ever been to Havana Moe's. I had actually never even heard of the place until recently. I have probably driven right by it about a dozen times. How is it?

I really like it. It's pretty small - a bar area and about three to four additional tables to sit at. The staff is friendly, and the drink list is pretty good (lots of different whiskers, scotches, other liquors and beer). Their humidor is very small, but you can bring your own - which is what I do. I highly recommend it!

As I understand it, you guys do get some snow up there, but your main concern is the constant bitter cold...right? In Buffalo, our winters are pretty warm compared to yours. But that relative warmth and moisture are what drive the lake-effect snow machine!

Last year it started in November and kept up right through April with lots of snow followed up by bitter cold. What stinks is the skating rinks we call our road system when that happens. This year has been mild by all accounts. Not sure if I would like all of the snow but sure as heck would take the warmth.

I'm in the same boat as Zippo, only I'm north of Buffalo. At this point, there is nowhere to put new snow when I clear my driveway. It just piles higher and higher. If I threw my kids in the snow in my backyard, they'd disappear.

Snow is finally melting pretty good here on Long Island. We didn't get as much as our friends to the north in Buffalo, but we did send crews from the Island to go help them dig out. It's great when I rip a new one to all of my friends who prayed and wished for all the damn snow, now are complaining all about it. I personally hate it, but I don't mind a little chill in the air. And I really don't care for the extreme heat, which is why I'll probably never live in Florida lol.

I was going absolutely nuts for a good week as I have to respect my parent's wishes and not smoke in the house during the snow. I finally called a friend and told him to meet me at the cigar shop we frequent because I was sick of being inside my house or being at work.

I wish I remember what cigar I smoked when I finally got to sit down and let out a sigh of relief to enjoy a nice drink and smoke.

I go there whenever I get the chance in the winter. You can also go up the street a little ways to Santiago. If you guys ever want to meet up let me know.
