Hello from Tennessee. Recently found this site and have been reading through the posts. I have been smoking cigars about 4-6 months now, still trying to learn all about them, etiquette, different taste, etc. So far I have found that I like the Oliva Connecticut Reserve, Jericho Hill, and Nick's Sticks. Still prefer the mild to medium cigars. Have been buying something different every time I visit the local shop to see what else I may like. Didn't care for the Alec Bradley Mundial, a bit too full bodied for me. Been reading some of the reviews and suggestions, looks like I will be trying a whole bunch more in the near future.

I live on the Kentucky border, about 30-35 miles north of Nashville.

There is a local shop that has a Tatuaje event tonight. Not sure if I'm gonna go, it's an hour away. And while we are on the subject, I have never been to one of these events at a shop. Are they just for advertisement or is there more to it?

They might just throw you a free stick, a shirt, an ashtray...you never know. Go check it out! (y)

Welcome to the clan. This is a great place to learn; I've been smoking for 40+ years and I still learn from the brothers here! If you go to that event, try a Tat Havana Vl, mighty tasty!

Went to the event. Not really impressed. They had a sale for the Tats, buy 5 get two free. Only bought one (Havana VI as recommended above) just because I have never tried them before. Didn't want to buy a bunch and not like them. But, to be fair, I did get there late. Had I been earlier I could have bought one and tried it at the shop and bought more if I liked it.

I did pick up 2 Crowned Heads Arrington Vineyards Double W's that will go in the humidor until it warms up outside. Too cold to be out smoking.

Welcome aboard and greetings from Long Island, NY!

Give the macanudo line a try. IMHO, their the most mild sticks I've smoked. Of course, I've been smoking a good 7 years maybe more now. Like my Uncle says "You can never go wrong with a macanudo."
