Tracking a timely delivery has been an issue for me. They say its been delivered, I panic and it comes two or three days after.
I've ran into issues with items saying that they have been delivered only to be actually delivered several days later. I want to know what the hell that is about. We're supposedly paying for 3 days delivery times and it does piss me off when these instead turn into 5-6 day delivery times. However, for the price and ease of getting packages out, its hard to beat for $5 and change.

This happens so their on time numbers looks better :/

Well thats horrifically frightening. I hope they have some sort of system to track whats actually going on with the packages they are marking as being delivered. If they were to lose a package after its marked as delivered I don't know what, if any, recourse you would have. I know people have had issues getting insurance money from USPS after it has been marked as delivered, regardless of whether or not it went to the right address or was ever delivered at all. Since last summer there have been at least 3 packages delivered to my house that should have went to other people, sometimes as far as a half mile away from my house.

I have had similar experiences. I think you would be correct about not being able to retrieve a lost package marked delivered. Thanks Usps

Knock on wood, USPS has been very good for me lately. Priority Mail packages getting delivered on the other side of the country in 2 days.
Your close to being in that danger zone of the northeast. You're lucky to get any kind of mail delivery with yet another winter storm headed your way

Any different experiences with UPS or FedEx?
Ups cancels operations when is too rainy, and fed ex steals your shit in my experience. Several occasions I've had boxes show up with a roll of packing tape or something similar from fed ex. Usps is normally ok, since Christmas they have sucked

Man... I got to tell you. I have a love affair going on with the USPS. Every time they say it'll get there on date xyz - it's there. Sometimes it gets here a day early. I have absolutely no complaints. I am even leaning toward them being better than old Brown - sacrilege I know!!

That said, I don't monitor my status often if at all - way to OCD. I check it the next business day after I get the email that it's "shipped", just to see when it's supposed to be here ,and then poof - 9 times out of 10 it shows up on that day. The other 1 out of 10 it gets here the day before.

Crap - now I have to check and see the status of the two orders I have coming in... watch, now that I have said this...

Ive had problems lately as well. I was all about USPS and the flat rate boxes. They were more reliable than my morning crap but not so much now. Things get held up, things get lost. At least they paid out on a lost bomb quickly. Too bad I could only claim up to $50 because I didn't pay for additional insurance.

I used to work for UPS as a loader. Scares me shipping to them, but they are the most convenient for me. Placing a "Fragile" sticker on your package is the same as painting a bullseye. I've seen some $#!*.

Guess I spoke too soon. I had a bomb I sent out that was out for delivery today on the tracking but didn't show up. Now tracking tonight says available for pickup but no notice left. Never saw that before.
