Im buying a box of My Father Connecticut.
I called my local B&M to find out how much they are. $185.00
They are having an "event" where they discount sales in two weeks and the box will be 15% off. So just around $160.00 + tax

I found a deal online where they are selling for $120.00. I buy all my singles from my local spot but it's really hard to turn down a deal!
I want to support them and wouldn't mind paying $150 out the door. Do you think shop has room to negotiate on box purchases? Should I just suck it up and pay the 160+tax and wait two weeks? OR just buy the box online and keep buying singles from the shop?

How much is shipping for the online deal? You can go to the BM shop and try to negotiate a little bit...

take the webpage to your B&M and see if they can get close. If they can then buy for B&M, if not then buy a coupe sticks and go get your box online.

I'm leery of doing that because it might cause tension in the relationship with b&m. depends how well you know them and how owns they might be

Have you tried the Flor de Las Antillas? Super fina and cheaper than the Connecticuts. I agree with buying boxes online if your B&M can't get close...

My B&M has told me to just give him a chance to compete with online shops to see if he can get close. He has and I've given him the business. I don't mind giving a few extra dollars to them, they seem to reciprocate by treating me pretty well! Give it shot as long as you don't tell him he has to match the online price I think most store owners would appreciate a chance to earn your business.

Tight as my budget is, I buy mostly online, but I support my B&M too. Never want to see it go away; when I walk in the lounge, they all know my name...

When you stop in the lounge just ask how much they would charge if you wanted to purchase a box of the cigars you want. I wouldn't say right off the bat you're going online.

My 2 shops I frequent one gives 10% or 15% off a box because a buddy and I have a locker with them. A cool thing is we can mix and match with any cigars they have stocked.

And my other shop he tweaks a little bit also but would work with me when I decide to buy a box through him. I really think both balance out to each other really close in prices.

You'll see me here babbling like I am now, I always try my best to support my local B&M shops. But if they can't come close enough to a deal or you feel it's a little much then I'd say go online. I mean, you do get a cool travel humidor. Those alone are an easy $25.....

And if you choose online, can't say you didn't try going locally first....
