Just know that the Opus tastes nothing like Tats going into it. But yea for those other smokes, I agree, it's hard to beat a TatI've had nothing but failures lately. One after another. I think my pallet is so tuned to Tatuaje reservas/cojonus & pardon '26 le bijou that anything that's not a Tat Rsrv just falls short (even if I properly set expectations). I think it's hard to find a bold earthy smoke that's as consistent as the Tats. I had hope the Davidoff Nicaragua would blow my mind, nope. Illusione since everyone loves them, nope. Ligas (9/uf13/dirty rat), nice but boring (but I still smoke'm). EP carillo, blech. Ashton, Olivas, crowned heads, casa fernandez, ortega, the list goes on and on. Worst part is, these are all great cigars but just don't fit in with my tastes.
Oh well, I'll just keep stocking up on the Tats. I do however have an OpusX from @99TRILLS that I'm going to try as soon as this cold passes (and am very excited for).
Yep, Im thinking about taking a couple of days off to ensure I don't ruin the experience with a tat fried palletJust know that the Opus tastes nothing like Tats going into it. But yea for those other smokes, I agree, it's hard to beat a Tat
I was going to ask if there is such a thing as tat fried, but knowing your recent experiences, I would have to say, yes there is.Yep, Im thinking about taking a couple of days off to ensure I don't ruin the experience with a tat fried pallet
