Yeah, I am kind of thankful that i missed out on the original release of the Limiteds about a month ago. Crazy to think that I would have dropped $300+ on cigars that I hadn't tried just because of the hype that was built up. I guess at least with Tatuaje's growing number of Limiteds, they are a much safer bet, for me anyways, because I really haven't had a Tat that I didn't enjoy. Look at me and my lowered risk profile!

With his core line being so stellar, it was hard to fathom the L+F wouldn't be with the price of admission. Early reports suggest they're not, but I'll be interested to hear how people feel about them in a few months when they've had a bit of downtime.

They are supposedly rolled with aged tobacco. Some from 2007. I'm not sure if down time will help it. I hope they do come around for those that purchased it. It just does not suit my palate.

I was under the impression that they were rolled on the date listed on each release. Derek made a good point, these were supposedly found in the back room so then they were taken out, shipped, repackaged, shipped out to shops, who then shipped them out to customers...many of whom shipped them out to others. That's a lot of shipping and storing in non-ideal conditions, fluctuating RH and temperature could do some nasty things to cigars. I wouldn't call them rockets right now, wait a few months until they acclimate to your preferred RH% and then call them what they are.

As far as the hype dying on these, man it fell off a cliff. They didn't wait long enough so they're flooding the market, the packs of ten are making it a little hard to stomach the price. $55 to try a few aged cigars, no big deal but $130 is pushing it. I bought a pack of the pepper cream chocolate because it sounded interesting and the pepper cream got some good reviews. I imagine this whole release will be readily available for a while and luckily it's not going at 3-4 times MSRP.

It's not implausible that they found this many cigars in back rooms. I've had a sit-down talk with a production manager and in conversation I understand that there are several reasons these could be sitting around because sometimes changes are made for reasons other than taste. If the planned release is bigger than what leaf is available or they're getting too much poor leaf that they have to discard it no longer becomes economical. One of my favorite small brands has a cigar that I tried their pre-release and their current release, I couldn't really tell the difference(and I have pretty good taste buds). The difference is a different binder and I know for a fact they were left with pre-release cigars they couldn't sell. The reason they changed the binder (I was told) was to better the burn...that's ONE company with only a handful of offerings, multiply that by hundreds of companies, it doesn't surprise me their is plenty of cigars sitting around...how many are good? Who knows.

Last time I saw you near strippers you were lying on the stage for an AWKWARD couple minutes waiting for her to sit on your face, scoop up the dollar on your face with the #tacotuesday and leave some booty butter on your upper lip playa. Play on playa
Yeah you might need to recheck the ol memory banks there cuz that is most definitely NOT what happened. What happened was I laid on stage for an awkward couple minutes (lower case awkward only) and she came and motor-boated my face with her gigantic surgically enhanced rack. At one point I thought she was done and I opened my eyes and she came back in for a second round of motor-boating. Her nipple piercing poked my eye pretty good. Still, it was $2 well spent.

It's possible Small Batch got half the assortment. They're kind of a big deal.
Yes sir you done called it. We got the largest of the allotment on this one. It will probably be a rotating allotment on the lines as not everyone got the same amounts. We got very little over the other ones as you all might have noticed.

I'm just happy Small Batch is getting a bunch and selling a bunch. I wish great success for Andrew. If it's with L&S, then more power to him. To the guys who bought some, no need to justify your purchase or defend L&S to me. It's your money, spend it the way you want to. I'm rather quite impressed at the success of the company. They really did figure out the market. It makes me want to get into the LE biz. It shows that marketing and the limited editions work. The quality of the product is pretty much irrelevant. As long as you can generate the hype, you will get people to buy anything. Part of me wished I came up with idea, those guys probably make decent money. Well... Maybe I couldn't get into the game, I would lose my mind trying to make a cigar that was worthy of my brothers...

Caldwell did an event at a b&m near me last year and if you bought three sticks he gave you an unbanded stick for free that looks very similar to some of these. The owner said they were old Camacho's. I'll take a pic of the one I got and post it later

It wouldn't surprise me if the pepper cream soda chocolate crush was the old liberty with a different binder or slightly different filler.

In fact, it wouldn't surprise me at all if these were all seconds or slight tweaks of something else that came to market previously. Camacho especially make sense, since they revamped all their blends just recently.

I'm not the guy to do this, but once all the sizes and wrappers are known, it'll be interesting to see if they match up to Camacho cigar sizes.

I've had 3 of them since they were released Thursday (le pigeon, spam artist, and pepper cream chocolate crush) and all three were very exceptional. For sure they have to be the Camacho 11/18 figurado. I just hate the high price tag on them. Worth trying guys... I will be posting the 3 reviews this weekend/Monday.

"All three were very exceptional". Now that's an endorsement! Looking forward to your reviews. Do you mind comparing the cigars to some others you have tried? I just want to get a feel on how you think the L&S compares to some established brands that I may have tried before.

PCCC was a super spice bomb like a pepin and varied greatly in flavors the whole time.
Spam artist had bbq smokiness to it, maybe like an undercrown belicoso, but not the same.
Le pigeon, not sure what it was similar to
