Made it 31 days without buying any cigars or pipe baccy.

Longest stretch I've had in over a year. All my humidors are finally well stocked mostly with smokes I enjoy. Purged 100+ that I'd probably never smoke with a couple troop donations and spent too much on good smokes to refill the gaps left behind. Think I'm gonna try for 2 months. Despite smoking 7-10 a week, humidors are still full. Was finally able to stop using my overflow boxes after the troop bombings though.

I did buy Bovedas this month, but that doesn't count.

Sorry brother - that DOES count!

All said and done, I try to only buy Dec through Feb and then smoke what I buy throughout the year. It works well for me. It allows many of my cigars to rest too.

This year is a wash, being I have recently embraced the pipe. But I doubt I'll buy any more cigars this year.

It is very liberating :).

I feel you Brother. I've only been really into cigars for the past month and needless to say have gone a little crazy buying lately (Damn Devil site and Small Batch discount :rage:) My last purchase was a drunken one late Friday night. I woke up Saturday morning and said this has got to stop! So I am too on a self imposed buying ban....just gonna take it one day at a time and see how long I can go. @danmdevries if you need someone to talk to as you feel yourself slipping down that slope again.. I'm here for you..(y)

Someday I would hope to be able to do that, but with only about 1.5 years of acquiring cigars, I don't have much stock to fall back on. Few more years and I could see myself buying only a few boxes a year.

I'll toss a bucket of soapy water down the slope.
I'll be buying again once I have room. In about a month some of my boxes will be empty enough to go into the singles humidor and I'll have voids in the box humi.
Botl abhors a vacuum...

Please dint try that, was joking but just wanted to give ara a plug as humidity king. He's earned it
What he meant was don't start a new thread. Add to the existing ones as to not clutter the cyberwebs with another humidity thread. (This is also a joke)

Man I was really hoping to see a "Ara how do I humidify a trash bag with zip ties" thread. I literally could not stop laughing thinking about it.

I call BS! You'll be back on the wagon tomorrow :ROFLMAO:. Don't ask me how I know. If not for yourself, to help your fellow BOTLs expand their taste. It's all in the name of developing a refined pallet. At least that's what I keep telling myself. Just remember, it's always better to give than receive (y)!
