I usually smoke larger cigars (churchills, double coronas, etc...) when I'm playing golf.

The La Flor Dominicana Double Ligero 700s are perfect golf smokes. My friend and I had it burn for almost three and a half hours. Peppery and spicy all the way through. They did need quite a few touch ups, though I'll blame that on the wind.

If it is an early morning round I usually start off fairly mild/medium on the front nine. I don't usually eat breakfast so I don't go full strength first thing in the morning. Morning back nine is usually something stronger.

Afternoon round... anything goes! I'll pack up the travel humi and decide as I am going around. Not uncommon to have 3 or 4 during an afternoon round.

I smoke what I like on the course, but usually stay with average cigars. I have left, stepped on and damaged enough cigars on the course that I don't usually bring anything too nice. I'll save the good stuff for after the round when I can enjoy it and give it more attention.

I tend to smoke my longer cigars on the course. This weekend I had a Padron 1964 Maduro Diplomatico and a Headley Grange Laquito.

Weird for me as sometimes I go through a cigar that would take an hour or more in 2 or 3 holes.

Golf demands full concentration and relaxation....so I tend to grab a stick that is full bodied and complex to calm me the eff down before I hit the first ball. The first tee is usually the one that makes us nervous because you have the next 4some watching you and you can hear the bastids whispering and you just know they are talking about those plaid pants and pink golf balls ya play with...screw em. I've already been smoking my LFD for 10 minutes before I get to the first tee on an empty stomach and I am as loose as the proverbial goose with projectile diarrhea and fear no man or any whispering in the background. The more relaxed I am the better I play and that's the way it's been since I played college golf. 300 yards right down the middle with a little bit of a power-fade always makes the others think that ball is going OB....right until it works its way back into play and you can hear the gallery say...."WTF was that?"

Dug deep for this one Ara! I seem to be the opposite of the above posts. I tend to grab sticks that take very little attention and are low complexity. It may be because I walk most of the time and don't have time to sit and enjoy a good smoke. Went out today and had a Bahia maduro. $2, burns straight every time and I couldn't give two shits if I drop or disfigure it. If I want a complex cigar, I'll sit and relax after the round with a nice stick.

Holy necropost. lmao

On topic, when I golf, I barely golf. I'm terrible and, quite frankly, don't give a damn. My cigars on the course are rarely anything good. I think the nicest I ever brought was a Tat Black cg.
Because of wind or concentration? Nope. Because I typically play a beer per hole.

I too usually go the cheap route. Oliva O is a good choice. I usually smoke 3 in a round )usually because I forget one on the green or drop it or some thing). That said, I only play a few rounds a year.

Also - holy zombie thread!

I don't golf. That said, some buds and me borrowed the District Attorney's cart and about 30 shag balls and hit the links at the Calhoun County course. When we were done with our five six-packs, we'd lost all the shag balls and smoked my bundle of La Fincas. (All I had at that point) Got sunburned and had a ball, and even got the cart back w/o mishap! Good day, all things considered!

I don't like to burn anything too nice when golfing. Oliva O was mentioned earlier and I remember that as a good golf smoke as I have no problem setting it down on the green when I'm putting if not just watered. It also seems like when I leave one behind its something nice too. Need to smoke more and golf more this year.
