Seeing as how I'm getting married in August this Canadian BOTL thought it would be a great idea to go stateside for my last stand. Originally we had decided on Arizona but thanks to a BOTL (Dave Nielson) we heard the weather in Zona near the end of June is similar to that offered in Total Recall. We have changed our itinerary to Charleston, S.C apparently home of some of the USAs finest ladies, golf, good times. Anyone have any suggestions for cigar lounges, good value golf, bar/nightlife.

Many thanks in advance!

LD

I took a week vacation last June with my girlfriend to Charleston. Actually we stayed in Mt. Pleasant for 3 days, Hilton Head for 2 days, and then downtown Charleston for 2 days. All are absolutely beautiful. We went out everyday for lunch and dinner to bars/restaurants. We noticed that possibly everybody in Charleston/Mt. Pleasant participates in happy hour. Bars actually seemed more busy during Happy hour than it did at night. And the drink deals are way better. As for recommendations:
Downtown: You have to go to the Blind Tiger, and make sure you check out their patio in back, its amazing. We had a blast just bar hoping on East Bay St. There is a ton of bars and restaurants in that area. There is a nice cigar shop right there too called Charlestowne Tobacco and Wine
Mt. Pleasant: We loved going to happy hour at the Shem Creek area. There is like 6-7 bars that you can walk to on the creek and all of them are totally different atmospheres. Beautiful views as well, and like I said earlier, great happy hour specials. Hope that was helpful

I dunno why that place ever closed down, I loved going there underage in college lol (last time I was there wayyyy back, they found me in a closet passed out) ahhh how mature I was. I'm assuming your buddy was Steve Pinizotto (quick google search) . Is he still playing in the league? I see your from Oakville. I bet I on a clear day I can see you. Ok, that could be a reach, but I live right on the Lake now in Lyndonville, NY.

Yup that's correct, when we went with the hockey team as "recruits" we had an insane time. We don't talk much more but he's bounced around a couple of places (Washington, Vancouver, Florida) he started in Edmonton this year but is back down with their farm team.
