Given that I am surrounded by a bunch of enablers I have succumbed to my desires to have a wineador. It will be a Newair 281E and will be here on Friday. Now to get in touch with John for drawer and shelving options. You fine brethren are indeed a terrible influence on a helpless old man. Thanks a bunch!

What kind of humidification are you going to use?

(hey, if you can't beat them, join them.) :)

I have the exact model. Love it. Let me know if you have any questions when you're setting it up.

One caveat: it STINKS from plastic inside when it's unwrapped. For me, it took weeks (3-4) to get rid of it, using vinegar, newspaper, and activated charcoal. I still have a bunch of charcoal if you want it.

Take your time de-orodizing it. Remember that whatever aromas your cigars are around, they will absorb. Plastic is not fun to smoke ;)

Has anyone tried kitty litter to remove the smell? Since its made to absorb odors. $4 for Mimi silica litter at Uncle Wallys. Worth a shot.
I switched a week or so ago and holding steady now at 65.

You made a great choice. (y) Now watch how fast that sucker fills up! o_O And don't fret about being enabled. You see, when we convince each other to jump off tall cliffs, it's for everyone's entertainment. It was time to sacrifice the "helpless old man" to the greater good. (Cue "Circle of Life" music.)

Well based on what I have been reading here on the forum I think I am going to try the Kitty Litter.
Remind me to bring you a few pounds next week at the HERF...

I bought an 8lb jug.. have put about 4 lbs in my cabinet.. and the rest has just been sitting in the bottom of my closet for the past several months..

I'd love to get some (all) of it out of here..
