No, I can't. Goes against my nature. You can impolitely disagree with me. Matters not to me. I understand I'm an idiot when it comes to what I like cigarwise.

When it comes to cigars Ryan. Only when it comes to cigars. I wouldn't and don't smoke most of what people find to be decent to good cigars. It's not a matter of cost even. I smoke Padron Londres and Gibraltar and JH 44s etc but I have a limited range of those. That contradicts everything I know about you...
I'll second the HUHC and Fuente for the beginner. The Rothchildes also a great cheap short light but tasty smoke if you can't get your hands on the HUHC.When it comes to cigars Ryan. Let's not derail this thread.
I like the HUHC idea. Fuente stuff for beginners is good. PLPC and smaller sized CCs are good.
The Caldwell JV lines are an excellent smoke that you won't be cringing if pitched half way. Would recommend the Sevillana. Also have to agree with the AF New World and Illusione Roth.Fighting cock, LA perla, any diesel, the lower end AF 8-5-8 or curly, the cheaper Caldwell lines, all are good sticks IMO and I wouldn't be mad if they were done after 2".
I'm going to go ahead and disagree with you, there, Dave. These JDNs will make noobs crap their pants...If they want some strength, give them a JDN 1970 or Dark Corojo
La bomba? You want these poor souls to die of a nic hit! Personally, if I give a $5+ cigar to someone that really does not smoke cigars and they toss it, I'd be a little bitter (on the inside), but that's just due to my budget. I'd say, go for cheaper brands blended by AJ Fernandez. They are decent, good for new smokers, and your not gonna cry if they don't smoke the whole thing. But stay away from handing out dog rockets. We're trying to recruit members to our hobby, not scare them away. I can hear it now, "my friend gave me a cigar once and it sucked=all cigars suck and I'll never try another.Brickhouse, Hoyo de Monterrey White Label, La Zona or 601 (La Bomba). Also the AF New World are under $5 and people rave about them.
Lmao... I'm at work enjoying a smoke and you just about made me crap my pants. I handled JDN's and Opus and many other strong sticks just fine in the beginning. Maybe they chew tobacco or smoke two packs a day or smoke pipes.. Lol I'm just saying if they can handle the strength but don't have a passion for cigars and might just let it die out and never touch it again. Hahahaha so funny. Thanks for the laugh Sean!I'm going to go ahead and disagree with you, there, Dave. These JDNs will make noobs crap their pants...
I would smoke a black and mild infrequently, just lots of green before I started the hobby. I cant count the number of times I layed next to my toilet saying I'd Never smoke againLmao... Damn Edwin, that's nuts!I would smoke a black and mild infrequently, just lots of green before I started the hobby. I cant count the number of times I layed next to my toilet saying I'd Never smoke again
What's the matter with a little first time Nic POW! ?? haha. In all honestly, those are pretty flavorful sticks, and it would really depend on how new into tobacco the individual is (Cigarettes).La bomba? You want these poor souls to die of a nic hit!
I would also recommend the Short Story. It's around the $5 mark, won't take too long to smoke, is a nice tasting medium-body (ish) cigar...Partagas shorts (cc) are under $5/ smoke by the box.
H. Upmann Habana Cuba shorts are around the same price. For NC try the Arturo Fuente Short Story. $125/ 25 and taste wonderful, remarkably close to the HUHC. For non cc and on the cheaper side, brick house by JC. Newman are pretty good. I prefer the natural over the maduro, and I'm a Maduro fan

I find the same to be true for myself. I usually stock up on Padron 2000 maduro. Consistently a great smoke for anyone.Padron Londres maduro. Its the corona in the x000 line. At under $5 a stick you get a great smoke you can enjoy yourself or giveaway without feeling terrible when they don't finish it.
