Wondering what spots are good to smoke a cigar in Asheville NC? A few of us will be in town the night before the Hillbilly Herf and I was wondering if there are any good beer centric cigar friendly places, or other cigar friendly places in town?

Thanks!

My friend recently moved to Asheville. And he's going to try and join up here as soon as things calm down and he gets all situated. In conversation with him, if my memory is correct, he doesn't know of any in the area. Of course, hunting around and word of mouth might help him out. I do know JR Cigars just opened up in Morrisville I think?? It's a little bit of a drive but a few of the NC brothers were just there on a recent herf.

Not much help on the smoking part as there are not many spots there but there are some great breweries. Sierra Nevada and New Belgium are there. A couple of the better smaller breweries are Highland, Hi Wire and Wicked Weed. It is filled with small breweries there.

When I went to school there the only cigar shop I knew of was in a mall and you couldn't smoke there. Sorry I'm not more help.

Beautiful town though.

There's a couple in South Carolina. I think Outman Cigars is one of them and also Boda cigars?? Might be a little bit out of your way but if you're willing to take a ride down I know those are 2 shops my friend frequented before moving. Boda Cigars I think was his go to shop for pipe baccy if you're a pipe smoker.

Thanks for info. But I'm just looking for Asheville ideas and would probably rather find a brewery that has outdoor cigar friendly seating. :)

Carolina Cigar Company.. Small little shop that only sells their house blends.. But it's in a cool part of town with some great little sandwich shops and restaurants on the same street.. (Most sell craft beers)...

Their premium lines are reasonably affordable.. And their maduro robusto is a pretty decent stick IMO..

I don't remember any seating in there... But I believe the owner was smoking when I visited...

A couple of the restaurants nearby have some outdoor seating IIRC...

This place is next door... Whether you can smoke or not, it's a MUST visit if you like kick ass sandwich shops... They make all kinds of gourmet potato chip that are flat out awesome.. And the hot sandwiches are incredible..

Added bonus.. They use carolina cigar company cigar boxes as napkin holders on every table :)

I was there in Jan. but I was the only smoker so didn't look for a place. I did a see a sign for a pale in the downtown area. I will say this though try to eat at White Duck Taco shop really good and cheap.
