So I briefly heard this morning that there was a pretty bad tornado outside of the Chicago land area yesterday. I just wanted to check in and make sure the brothers we have in the area were not involved.
Hope you all are well and anybody else in the midwest, lets hope summer gets here quick. I hate tornado season.

Leave it to the news to blow it out of proportion. But that is still fairly close. I saw a video of one in IL from the weather channel yesterday that was pretty wicked looking.

Well, they didn't blow it out of proportion as to how big it was. It was a 1/2 mile wide Wedge tornado, around an F4. Luckily it went through a less populated area. There were anywhere up to 12 different tornadoes yesterday, they were saying. There was just so much coverage because we don't have tornadoes like that very often in this area.

I'm in the NW suburbs of Chicago this week and it definitely got pretty intense last night, though luckily no tornadoes in my immediate area. Praying for those impacted.

Yeah sounds similar to the one that came through Joplin a few years ago. Just not quite as strong. If it would have hit a larger area it would have been horrible.

I was on duty when the big 1 came through South OKC/Moore OK 2 years ago. I also worked the big 1 in 99. I get a little freaked out this time of year. We get a few F5 in Oklahoma. But hey, it's home
Stay safe brother. People dont understand why we live in this area of the country. They dont realize that its not a constant issue and that deapite the weather issuea we are loyal to where we live.

Well it's certainly a part of Kansas. Heck, the University I went to is 150 yrs old, but aside from a couple of buildings, the whole place is 60 architecture. The F5 (of course they didn't call em F5's back then) that ripped through in 66 made sure of that.

We have been relatively lucky since then... but it's just a matter of time.
