Ok here's the scoop, my wife fully supports my cigar habit and I recently asked her if she would like to smoke with me if I could find something I think she'd like and she said yes.

Now I'm coming to you, my fellow BOTL to get suggestions. Not sure what would be a good start for her. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Start mild-bodied, low nicotine. Macanudo Hampton Court. Or like @OtismyMan said above, Acid K.K. (although a lot of people find the sweetness revolting -- it's all a matter of trial and error).

Thanks guys. I was considering the Acid K.K. but wasn't sure. I knew if I put some feelers out here I'd get some great suggestions!

Acid Blondie is a sweet tasting enjoyable smoke... Acid seems to be a good starter stick... I have heard a lot of ladies enjoying DE Java as well

I'd have to say it depends on your wife's tastes. Mine for example, loved the full flavored dark conni broadleaf sticks. She doesnt much care for conni shade.

I would say if she is into flavors the java line would work. My wife enjoyed the java mint and then tasted my oliva g and then did not like the java.
Nub connecticut is a good started too. Short and mild.

I once read somewhere that its good to start off on a longer stick, like a churchill, b/c the smoke stays cooler unlike a short stick. Again all subjective.

Good point. Definitely keep her away from lances and cigarillos. Way to harsh is not enjoyed at a slow pace.

I wouldn't assume just because she's a woman and new to cigars she'll enjoy an infused stick. Not saying she won't just that its not the best assumption IMO as theres plenty of women that aren't into the fufu shit. Be it smokes or booze. Have her take a draw off some of your smokes and try to get a sense for her palate. Just don't go too heavy on the body.
To give an actual recommendation I'd say Tatuaje Black. Smooth, great flavor, not too heavy or too strong.

My wife hates the smell of infused. She's also a lover of peaty, smokey scotch, so she doesn't fall into the ordinary characteristics.

I would recommend you start with a toro, a good length and rg for easy smoking. As far as what toro, that's a good question. I try to make my recommendations based on beer/liquor preferences, and have had decent luck matching new smokers with stuff they appreciate. If she's a stout or porter drinker, maybe a San Andreas or Broadleaf. If she likes ambers or blondes, maybe a Connie. If she likes IPAs, maybe a corojo. Etc.

good point. I was going off of what my wife liked. She hates regular cigars.

Mine had zero interest in flavored cigars. She doesn't smoke often so when she does I make sure its something good and smooooooth. Cant go wrong with davidoff, petite corona, corona or lonsdales anything they make with a white label, milleniums, winston churchills etc... Perdomo Champagne is another good choice that tastes great and is not overwhelming.

My girlfriend loves the flavor infused cigars. CAO line, she particularly enjoys. They're like cigarillos I guess??? She has a few of them stashed in my humidor. Start off mild bodied if she's just starting. Maybe eventually if she likes it, to the more medium and full bodied smokes.

If she is looking for something sweet and flavored, I would suggest the Tatiana groovy blue. Tastes like blue sweet tarts. If she would enjoy something a bit more refined, Caldwell Sevillana Churchill. You can enjoy this with almost anything as it is very mild but great flavor. Enjoy them with a cup of coffee in the morning. It's a stick that you can buy and even if she doesn't like it, will definitely not be a waste of money.
