I got a screaming deal on eBay last week when I placed a bid for a 281 and it never hit my high number. The thing was damaged but they guaranteed operability. Well... it arrived today and it took another hit in transit but it may not be a massive blow. The door cam off the bottom hing but I was able to get it back on and it looks like its sealing. The door requires a slight pull so thats a good sign.
Ive got it in the garage running to see if it really cools and if theres any other issue that might show its head.
This is going to be a long term project for me as I don't have the funds to do an all out build like I did on my other one. I also don't have room upstairs for it so I need to figure that out as well.
Just thought Id share what I got and Ill be crossing fingers, toes, eyes, and testes in hopes that its good. Luckily the box is big enough to cover me from rain cause the wife might kick me out the house after she sees it.
After getting it out of the box. You can see the bottom corner of the door is whacked.
P.S. thats the wife's Bonneville behind it
And after some tinkering and making some room in the garage for it...
and if your curious why it was on eBay...
