I had a similar situation last year with a package that I put the wrong zip code on. It went around Virginia a few times until I talked with my local post master. She called the processing center and had the tracking number flagged to RTS. I got it back about two months after sending it.So I spoke with a wonderful young lady at USPS this morning who was very helpful, but at the end of the call she wasn't able to even tell me with any degree of certainty where the box is, or if it will ever make it to its destination. She's sent another request to the last known location to try and locate it, but it's not looking good.
