So I spoke with a wonderful young lady at USPS this morning who was very helpful, but at the end of the call she wasn't able to even tell me with any degree of certainty where the box is, or if it will ever make it to its destination. She's sent another request to the last known location to try and locate it, but it's not looking good.

I had a similar situation last year with a package that I put the wrong zip code on. It went around Virginia a few times until I talked with my local post master. She called the processing center and had the tracking number flagged to RTS. I got it back about two months after sending it.

You admit this? I am sitting on mine letting them age out, you know letting them take on a cultured taste.

Had some nasty auto repairs, the DR's are good for them. When you get down to the "grease band" then you're done LOL

What is the point of the city and state if they aren't going to cross check it anyhow?

I still say we should send a bottle of wine and a block of cheddar to get lost in Ohio.
By the time it gets back it will be aged perfectly.

Try calling em again today if you have time there were lots of tag a longs in there. I'll get w multi for the roulette bag this weekend we can get this out early next week. If other turns up we will get em together somehow

She basically told me on the last call 'I'll tag it, but theres really nothing we can do to locate this'. Apparently its all computers and an unmanned facility? I've filed a claim, waiting to hear back.

FYI I just noticed my insurance claim was approved. Its not going to cover full value of course, but it's another $50 we can put towards this. Once I get the check, I'll lapyap F&F you Lucky and you can use the funds as you see fit. And if it ever shows up we have to pay them back, but i think the odds of that are slim.

Hey I'm going to suggest not putting that address list inside the new DR package this time. Reasons Below :

1- We all have the participants address list now, or can get it, anyway.
2- The Post Office apparently does not use addresses anyway.
3- These packages get lost. Possibly providing our addresses to random persons outside our circle. This will never be of any positive benefit. Believe me.

Not sure if I'm ready to jump on the dog-rocket band wagon, but it looks like you guys are having fun! USPS never ceases to amaze me- seems I get mail for all of my neighbors, but they never get mine? I'm not sure how that works but it's consistent, so at least they have that going for them....
