Picking up the wife and kids at DTW sunday night, they are flying back from Dallas. Can someone recommend a lounge near the airport that might be open late. Six hours round trip, was hoping to take a break and relax before picking them up and driving home.

I just took a basic look at your location and I can see that the quickest route is 75 to 23 to 69 to 275 to 94. I don't know of anything along that exact route as I am not a west-sider, but if you stay on 23 longer and head to Ann Arbor I think La Casa de la Habana is open til 9 on Sundays. If you need something later the location in Detroit is open til midnight on the bar side. Here's the website: http://www.lacasadelahabana.com/contact I've never been to the Ann Arbor location but I've heard its nice. I've been to the one in downtown Detroit a few times though and I can tell you that it is very nice indeed. I think the retail side closes early though so make sure to bring your own cigar, just in case. If you are arriving in Detroit around 6 then you can head over to the largest humidor in the tri-state area at Jenuwines. Website: http://www.jenuwinecigarlounge.com/locations/sterling-heights/ They are only open til 8 on Sundays, however. Both of those last 2 places are a detour from your route but are certainly worth checking out if you have the time to make it and the hours work around when you have to be at the airport. A final place I would recommend is The Coliseum. While not a lounge per se, you can light up a cigar there, and they are open til 2. Website here: http://coliseumdet.com/ Bring singles, but I'm sure they are on the B squad on a Sunday night so I can't promise that you'll be loving what you see.

Usually take 23 to 94 but I don't have to go that way. Flight lands at midnight, but I plan to be in town around 8 or 9 if i can find a nice place to go.

That's a tough lounge time for Sunday

If you have nothing but spare time I would recommend hitting jenuwines or lcdh Detroit for shopping before they close then either hanging in the lcdh bar area for a smoke or you can always head to mgm grand downtown and hang in there and smoke :)

Don Yeyo Cigar Factory
22087 Michigan Ave, Dearborn, MI 48124

Around what time will you be hanging out waiting for them to land? Maybe I'll join you.

FYI, Don Yeyo is BYOB if you want a drink while you're there.

Just checked their website and Don Yeyo is closed on Sunday. This place is open until 6 and they have a bar:

Wild bills is not really a cigar shop or lounge. You could smoke there but not really a good spot. Lcdlh is your best option on the way for a cigar lounge. There are two tables in the front you can sit at and smoke. Huge members area in back but for members. If you want to stray a little bit...downtown Ann arbor has smokys which has a nice little lounge and good selection. Or chop house which is a steak house with lounge and bar in basement. There is also another smokys right over by the airport in Allan park. Is has a bigger area to smoke but not very homely. Has an amazing selection on cigars that you most likely will never find anywhere else. Problem is it is a hookah shop too....and all of the cigars took on that smell. There are a lot of options but no real perfect one imo. If you have the time to kill....just head to the casino. You can smoke and get free sodas:)

Where's the one in Westland?
It's in a strip mall at Ford Rd/Wayne Rd. They were originally in the same strip mall but a smaller store that did not have much of a lounge. They moved about a year ago. It doesn't look like much from the outside but the place is actually pretty big.
