Well I suppose it probably does but they quit making them quite awhile ago didn't they? It also depends on your taste that's why it's my opinion. ;)
My taste is fancy. (pretty sure I agreed with you and said they're better fresh)

I just saw the Red Special S a couple weeks ago at an event at a small B&M. I thought the white ones were from larger accounts such as Famous, cigar.com, etc...

Interestingly, there are actually two special “event-only” cigars that My Father Produces; the Special “S” and the Special “S” White Label. I was told by a very reputable dealer that the “White label” will stay an event only release, while you can find a few dealers that sell the “Special S” in boxes of three, which retail for about $30 a box.

IIRC, the red box (rosado wrapper, band looked like the Centurion band) was originally the event-only promo, while the white box (equadorian habano wrapper, smaller band) was a favored retailer "whatever you wanna do with it" promo.

I'm guessing the red-box is no longer in production and the white box will be the event promo moving forward, but that's just speculation.

@bostoneo, at that price, if you're sharing, I'd love to grab a few 3-packs from you.

I've had a couple and thought they were great smokes. Grab them if you can!
