A while back (year and a half?) I built my first Wineador. For my personal use I built one our of an 18 bottle New Air. Being smaller, it does help me be more financially smart with buying cigars. If I had a 28 bottle, I'd just buy too many cigars haha. Anyways, here is the build (new here, don't know how to link this properly). http://imgur.com/a/RZ0iA . Originally I went with walnut fronts, but found out that was a horrible idea, and swapped then out for spanish cedar fronts. The walnut was gorgeous, oh well.

Also, here is a picture of a Newair 28 bottle wineador I built into a wine room I built for my girlfriends parents. This picture is without the handles on.

I have walnut fronts on mine too. I guess its also been about a year and a half, maybe two years. I had one guy tell me they would add an unwanted flavor to my cigars, but I haven't noticed anything.

Also, the piece of walnut I used had probably been curing in my garage for well over five years. Factor? I don't know.

So why did you get rid of the walnut fronts? Just curious because they look amazing.
For starters, I put a clear on them, which did smell for sure. Secondly I was warned and given a few articles to go over saying how bad of an idea it is to have something that's not spanish cedar in your humidor. There are reasons why humidors aren't built with walnut. I decided to say screw it with the looks of them, and be safe. Having over a couple grand in cigars in there...I don't want them to get ruined.
