I ordered some cigars and decided to include one of those cheap mystery grab bags. They offered bronze, silver, gold and platinum level grab bags. I picked the gold level, 10 cigars for $30. Here is what I got. Does anyone have any comments on them? I have smoked the original Cuban version of the Punch, the Hoya de Monterrey and the H. Upman but not these versions. I am not familiar with any of the others but I was happy to see some torpedoes as it is my favorite vitola.

You wouldve been much better off with one of Small Batch Cigars mystery grab bags. MUCH BETTER
They don't ship to Canada. There are many American retailers that don't ship to Canada. I don't understand it. Just fill out a simple label that says what's in the packaget and drop it in the mail. What's the big deal? Customer pays the extra shipping costs and the retailer makes his profit. Very frustrating!

I'm only familiar with the pdr, vintage Cameroon & Excalibur. Those smokes are worth $3 each. I think what you got is ok for $30. At the very worst, it's new smokes for you to try.

More logistics, increased risk in loss of product, especially for a smaller outfit I can understand why they don't ship. A larger outfit is better suited to handle international shipping.

Yes they do. Contact customer service. a while back i emailed them and they say they will but it takes longer because they send it to the post office with an employee to mail so there is no company markings, more likely to get through customes.

Nothing at all wrong with those cigars, brother. The Excalibur and Punch Gran Cru are wonderful with a little rest on them.
The Gran Habano 3sls is a good one also. It used to be called 3 Siglos but they lost the pissing contest with another manufacture and now call them 3sls. since then they dropped the price on that cigar. good lawn mower riding cigar.

Do you think that would be a good buy for someone new to cigars to get some variety?
Some of the samplers are good for intros. I started with those just as some experimentals. Eventually I moved on because you really never know what you will get. One time you may have some pretty decent sticks and the next time you shoot craps.

Yeah I can see how that could be disappointing at times.

I've been interested in that Berger cigar for a while. Thought it looked interested. Let me know how you like it. Enjoy!
So I had the Berger & Argenti. It was well constructed and good looking. It burned nice and even but it did go out a couple of times for some reason. The smoke was plentiful. The flavor was OK but nothing to write home about. If I was good at writing reviews it would be helpful but I'm not. There were no pronounced flavors that stood out. I'd say it wasn't a dog rocket but I wouldn't bother with it again.

Thanks for sharing Bruce. Sounds like one I shouldn't go out of my way to try. Much appreciated!
