While there are many CC brands (even high end) that are inconsistent with draw and aging needed, this guy generalized without using a real control group and sample size.

I thought his generalizing was typical and then defaulting to RP was classic

Like saying everything sucks, but rocky is awesome...which means he needs to venture out more

Jesus Christ. I just try not to get into conversations with people like that. Like what you smoke, smoke what you like. If you don't like what I like, hey that's just more for me :)
Yeah, I typically just let them talk and run with it. Not worth the energy to try to convince them otherwise

Same went with this proposal 1 we voted on in Michigan. The yays were convinced and the vast majority(myself included) knew a bad thing when we saw it thus the voting result going 20/80

But my buddy Matt was so sold it wasn't worth even telling him I voted no :)

Well at least that shit got rejected, and there were a great number of people that looked at it for how bad it was.

Not to derail thread, but maybe show your buddy this quote from Detroit Free Press, lol: "House Minority Leader Tim Greimel, D-Auburn Hills, said voters were skeptical about having their taxes increased to fix the roads after watching Snyder and the Legislature approve corporate tax cuts of more than $2 billion a year since 2011." You were right, bad deal. It's an interesting issue that I think a lot of states will be facing in the future. To attract corporations with jobs, you have to offer them incentives; but they come at the cost of infrastructure and education. Will politicians ever have the balls to stand up to corporate people, or will they forever just bend over? Will Rogers said, "We have the best politicians money can buy."

You can derail it all you want, it's my thread :)

That's a solid quote. The large concern amongst many was that the bill would add about 1% of my household income in taxes and gas tax, but the bill got money grabbed and became part education part general fund and part roads.

They have the money, it's just not used properly and current road manufacturers are not held accountable so they build roads destined for repair to continue raking.

It's sad and this futile attempt was expected to pass, but I'm proud that voters came out in May(such a weak move for the bill maker) to reject and stand up against this atrocity.

There are better ways to do things and the answer is not just throw more money at it at the expense of the public all the time...

Agreed wholeheartedly. But it seems like 'throwing (wasting) more money at the problem at the expense of the public" is the only answer these clowns in our state legislatures can offer. Lol. Way to go Michigan!!! It's amazing that thing went to a special vote. In the old days, they would've just kept the vote in the State Legislature and then told everyone about it six months later. I will smoke a cigar and toast the voters of Michigan this evening!!!

P.S. I can understand, though, how you're buddy fell for it. On the surface, it looks like a pretty good compromise. Even some Dems in the Legislature went for it too. But beneath the surface, it seems like a lot of the money will be going to places other than just infrastructure and education.

you hit it on the head when you say that they have the money, they just misuse it. try and tax corporations and they'll a. take their profits offshore or b. make up the higher tax rate in what the consumer pays. the corporations are made out to be the bad guys, but they're just fall guys for politicians who want to make voters think that they are standing with "the little guy" against the greedy giant. the politicians are unable to freeze budgets and god forbid cut anything. it's all smoke and mirrors to make the poor saps (us) put out more and more money so that the pols can buy more votes. and believe me, BOTH sides are well compensated by corporations. they show no favorites.

Good for that guy, that means he'll be ignoring good cigars and buying cigars that even beetles turn their nose up to.
