View attachment 63623 These are some un tested sticks in my stash. Thinking of trying one out. Which would you choose.
The only two I tried on that was the Camacho Corojo <-- not as bold as they say it is
and the La Sirena <--- that I rank high, if you like peppers. I scribbled "some fruit notes, and smoked meat" plus maduro. I liked it.

I have plans to hang with a buddy and have a cigar tonight. I think I'll bring the La Sirena along. I do like the a good Pepper Blast in a cigar. If I remember, I'll jot some notes down and post a review.

So I lit up the La Sirena last night. It had a decent preflight draw but not great. Right off the bat I could tell it was more bold than I am used to. The first few puffs were very earthy with a little bitterness that I typically associate with a strong tobacco dlavir in the back of my tongue.
After a bout ten minutes the cigar mellowed a bit tapering into a dark chocolate, cream and leather. I read in some reviews that this cigar had strong blast of pepper that are associated with Pepin G cigars. But I was not getting any pepper at all.

After about an inch in she seemed to get a subtle sweet cream flavor. The dark chocolate is became a milk chocolate. I also picked up a very sutle pepper at this stage. As the first third moved into the rear view mirror I found the increase of strength was noticeable. The bitter and tobacco flavored were overpowering the other flavors. I still picked up what I would call dark chocolate ,hay & milk. The pepper was now complete gone.

Regrettably I had to abandon this one at the half way point the 60 ring proved to be more than I could handle. Perhaps I'll try this one again down the road when my taste birds are craving bolder favors than I currently prefer.

In a smaller rg, the la sirena I had a few years ago was decent. Nothing I'd spend money on, but I'd smoke it if it were handed to me.

I liked the old Camacho Corojos with some age on them to help smooth out the rough edges. I haven't tried the new ones yet but I got one as a freebie with an order I'm looking forward to trying.

The El Baton is a good yard gar. Pleasant but nothing special, iirc.

Well, I may b a cheap smoke lover lol, but I do enjoy the infernos. If I get em on sale on the monster I'll grab a 5 or 10 pack at times. Not a bad tasting smoke and it's cheap enough I don't mind smokin it at work, where I may have to put it down and relight or something.
