So about 6 months ago I got back into cigars after about 7 years away (grad-school and post grad-school debt). As such I had no way to store any cigars other than one of the latch top jars that I got at walmart. Well a few purchases later and I ended up in a Ziplock Box with a gasket which worked great till spring hit. Once the temps started climbing and I remembered how expensive it is to keep my apartment at 70 here in the southeast, I realized I had to get a cooler or risk losing all my cigars.

Fortunately I found a 16 bottle Avanti thermoelectric cooler on ebay for $32 and only paid $10 shipping. Once it arrived I wiped it down, got it aired out and put baking soda in it for a couple days to soak up the rest of the plastic smell. Once done, I seasoned a couple cigar boxes I had sitting on a shelf, grabbed my boveda packs and my sticks and threw them in. This is the result!

Normally it sits at 65%/65 degrees but I had the door open just prior to taking this picture to move a couple things. For now it's great and I have plenty of room to put more in once I get some more disposable income along with getting flat shelves, and some of those cedar trays.

if your looking to upgrade the interior, I recommend http://wineadors.com// Forrest does a great job. Only downside, is it does take a while to make as each set is made to order.
I'm probably going to go with the wire closet shelving like was shown in the "woofador" thread, and get some of the cheaper cedar trays online.

Ok, here's a little update.

I have made 3 of the shelves (I have one more planned).
I started using KL as well as the bovedas as the RH is jumping around a ton when I open the door.
I have two cedar trays on the way which will allow me to add the 4th shelf that I will build

The trays and the shallower boxes (along with taking out the old macanudo box) will give me a TON more capacity than I had even a few days ago in there.

Pictures:

Original Shelf

Shelf after all cuts are made to fit in the cooler and around the fan in the back

Cut off the front part and ground down the remains so that I don't cut my hand up reaching in

How it sits currently

More to come!

I believe you need more Spanish Cedar in there. This wood acts like an RH Sink (like a Heat Sink) in the unit. I think you also need more surface area on your KL you can get these bags at any petstore, or make your own from Toole.

@battery12 had some trays available and apparently they are valuable, because rather than send a couple bodyguards along, he decided to send a quartet! Much appreciated!

Seasoned up and got some sticks put in them. This really upped the capacity quite a bit. Those two perdomo boxes on the top two shelves are going to get replaced with more trays as soon as I get around to buying more.
