Still new to cigars, and just recently acquired enough of them to need any kind of storage.
At the moment, I have all my cigars in a Pelican case with a Boveda 69. Ive only got about 10 cigars at the moment, is this type of storage adequate for keeping them in good shape?

You're good to go......for now. Only thing I would do is change out the 69 for a 65 Boveda but that's personal preference.
Definitely this too. 65% and 65° is perfect, IMO. That's what I keep all of mine at.

I have some larger Pelican cases too, however I may be looking into the Wineador route.
Wineador is definitely a good route.

They aren't kidding. I started last month with a Pelican 1400 and about 10-15 sticks. I'm now using an 8 bottle wineador have at least 30 in my possession and am expecting over 40 more from CBid in the upcoming week.

Do not visit CBid with alcohol (or in my case on Oxy) and a credit card nearby #blametheoxy

Also, if and likely when you upgrade, don't tell these people! They're too generous-I'm expecting a mailbox armageddon this week.

That's a perfect setup (though I'm with the "get a 65%" group).

I've been looking at the Pelecan cases myself. Want to grab one of the 9.5x7.25 size as a large Herfador at some point.

Imho, I think he is okay with the 69% - for now. other than the cigars, there isn't anything to absorb any humidity to keep it there (Spanish cedar, etc)... Every time he opens it up, a lot of the humidity will escape. The current boveda won't have to work as hard to get the humidity back up

Never would've thought a pelican case for a make-shift temporary humidor. Nice! I would think it's in need of some cedar lining possibly??? But I'd also recommend a wineador or even a larger scaled humidor. Check here though before you buy any of it. I don't think any of us would want to see you make a purchase and it's something that isn't too good of a quality humi or wineador. Then we can have some fun with you! I mean....just let us know! LOL.

A friend of mine did a coolidor and said that was the best thing he's ever done. And it's easy to maintain. Just needs to be somewhere in the house with somewhat of a consistent temperature if I'm not mistaken??

If i could get ahold of every newbie, I would advise they go;
-Tupperware or pelican-type case
-upgrade to a 28qt cooler (Walmart or Amazon for like $25) for beginning a stash
-when that's maxed, upgrade to a wine cooler (if looks are important) or larger cooler (if they aren't).

Would save so much expense and hassle. Wish someone woulda told me early on!
