Try this. Get some electrical tape and tape (don't tap,) the drain hole at the bottom of the unit. That's probably where your losing or gaining your moisture from. Having a tube at the back to a jar is only going to allow the outside RH and the inside rh to co mingle.

Next question are you using heartfelt beads or kitty litter for RH balance? And how much?

Sorry I have strayed from the topic. Pm me if you would like to trouble shoot your wineador before you toss it.
Appreciate the help brother, yeah I've tried that as well. I have KL, Boveda's & an Oasis system and I still can't keep the RH right even with the drawers in it. I was filling up the Oasis with DW every two weeks, my other winecooler seems to hold RH so I need to get a temperature controller for it so it doesn't stay running all day. Right now everything is in tupperware with bovedas inside the cooler to keep them stored at the right temp.

@Stogies and Suds How is that NewAir treating you?
Just purchased the same one last week and am in the process of converting it.
I love that thing! My house in the Houston heat can reach almost 80 deg, but the new air stays at a comfortable 68/68. I left it run for about a week with just some carbon bags for fish tanks you can get at a pet store then added the pre-seasoned boxes full of sticks and use KL for the humidification element. It will run a rock solid 68/68 all day.

A few suggestions though,
1) Get a wireless weather station to monitor the RH/TEMP @cgraunke is the one who recommended this one to me:

You and see the little white monitor in the middle of the fridge. I also have one in each tupp and the wood humidor so I can always make sure nothing is going crazy...

2) If you are going with passive humidifcation (Boveda/KL) get some PC fans to move the air around better. It will also keep the fridge from kicking on so often. I use this one:

Good luck with it! Looking forward to seeing the progress...

@Stogies and Suds Thanks for the advice brother!
That thermo remote unit is awesome. It sure beats having to buy multiple hygrometers and dealing with their different calibrations. Definitely going to pick it up.

My 4th upgrade since joining this forum. This time I had to go with a cooler b/c of the high temps here in the summer.

Notice it's full gents. No need for any more cigars. Capiche?
What are you talking about? There is plenty of room for more cigars in there.

Yep. That looks half full. Or half empty. Or like the content is below designed maximum capacity. Or like there is still room.

But nowhere near full...
:facepalm::facepalm::facepalm:
Gotta let my sticks breathe, so the content may not be at designed capacity, but it's at meeting my specs!

View media item 47089I know I've only been here at BOTL one day, but take great pride in my primary humidor and wanted to add to this great thread.
It's an Aristocrat M Plus made by the master, Bob Staebell. Temperature controlled unit 2 years old in black lacquer. It has a very large slide out singles drawer on top and a drawer for accessories.

Nothing fancy. Supply is a bit diminished but I travel a lot for work in the spring and summers so I hit every B&M I come across. I enjoy sharing my money with, as Alan Jackson would say, the "little man". View attachment 64400
